Lindsey has a history of saving horses from auction sales that may have gone to slaughter. She retrains them and gives them a second chance at life.

Any horse can be a caring and willing partner if only the handler takes the time to connect with the horse and show them that humans can be great partners! As Gary Convery believed - there are no bad horses, only humans who don't have the desire or patience to understand them.

Lindsey is taking horse rescue to the next level - selecting horses that may be headed to slaughter, or are considered 'so difficult to train', and then Lindsey will retrain them with natural horsemanship so they can have a second chance in life. Lindsey is offering FREE training to sponsored horses that need to be rescued.*

Lindsey is on a mission to show that natural horsemanship really does work, and can help any horse!

This is the Horse Rescue series: Lindsey finds a horse that may go to slaughter without retraining or a horse that is considered so difficult to train that the horse can't be trained by just anyone. Lindsey literally gives them a second chance at life. In 12 weeks she will turn the horse around with good nutrition and natural horsemanship! After 12 weeks the horse will then have a new life with their sponsor, or the horse can be sold on consignment to a new loving family.

If you are looking for a new horse, the horse rescue series sponsorship is a great opportunity to get a horse with professional training, while receiving free lessons as you participate and watch Lindsey training your horse, plus you get to give a special horse a second chance at life!

Even if you don't want to own a horse, but you want to save a horse, you can still sponsor a horse and then after the 12 weeks of training your sponsored horse can be sold on consignment. You will get the funds from the sale (less commission).

For those that are unable to sponsor a horse in full, you can still make a donation

to the horse rescue series. All donations will go toward rescuing a horse and retraining the horse for a new home.

Here is how the program works:

1) If you are interested in sponsoring a horse then apply to save a horse by becoming a sponsor.

2) Once approved as a sponsor, Lindsey will help you choose a horse to save. You can choose the age range, height, colour, etc of your horse! There are so many horses of all breeds, heights, and ages that are headed to slaughter that can be sound riding horses! A basic health exam will be performed, and the sponsor can choose to have a more thorough veterinary inspection. Vaccinations, coggins, and worming will occur immediately after purchase.

3) Lindsey will then spend the next 12 weeks training the horse and giving the horse proper nutrition. Lindsey will post updates of the horse's progress including videos and blogs so you can follow your favourite horses! The sponsor is welcome to participate and watch the training. Lindsey will help the sponsor learn and understand the horse so that the horse and sponsor can be comfortable together.

4) After the 12 weeks the horse will belong to the sponsor as a trained horse for riding and handling so that the sponsor and horse can live a new life together. If the sponsor does not wish to keep the horse, they can have Lindsey find a home for the horse on consignment for sale.

* There are limited spaces for the horse rescue series, so not all applications may be approved right away. Lindsey will consider horses donated to the program (horses that are being given away for free).

ALL Training is FREE! The expenses paid by the sponsor are only for the purchase price of the horse (approx $500-$1500), care of the horse (trailering of the horse, outdoor board, plus trimming/ vaccintations/ vet bills)! You get a professionally trained horse for less than $3000!
