Shawna
Shawna

Best Friends: Shania (her mom) and Flower
What's Interesting: She is half Choctaw mustang (a super rare breed) and half Kentucky Mountain Horse. She has white markings that are unique shapes. On one side she has a marking that looks like a duck. The other side looks like a heart (or is it a shark?). On her neck there is a white marking that looks like an anchor.
What she likes: For anyone who has ever met Shawna, it won't take you long to learn that she loves scratches - especially belly scratches!
Talents: She is really lovely for students learning to canter, and she is a talented hunter pony

Shawna lived her whole life at Pleasure Valley from the year she was born in 2001, up until April of 2011 when Lindsey purchased her. Shawna was used at Pleasure Valley on trail rides. Sometimes she was ridden by the public and sometimes she was used in lessons or by staff. Staff might ride her as the 'tail' on a trail (riding at the end of the trail to make sure everyone is okay).

Lindsey always loved Shawna when she worked at Pleasure Valley. Shawna is such a sweet personality and very smooth and easy to ride. She is very brave and curious - if that isn't enough she is also very willing and eager to please. Her stunning markings make her adorable and unique. Lindsey was thrilled to be able to purchase both Shania and Shawna together (Shania is Shawna's mom).

Shawna is one of the favourites at the farm. She is very smooth to ride, and very willing over jumps.

Look for pictures of Shawna from the 2011 Summer Camp!
