May 19-20: OCTRA Spring Ride in the Ganaraska Forest - Lindsey plans to ride in her very first Set Speed/Endurance ride (25 miles!!) this spring. You can train for this ride too - if you are interested in endurance/trail riding please contact us. Learn more about the event, click here.
May 26, Saturday, Natural Horsemanship Association Play Day (FREE to members): Bring your horse, or borrow a horse - let's horse around and have fun together! 10am - 3pm, The morning will be arena play, and the afternoon is a group trail. Please contact us to reserve your spot. Free to NHA members, $25 for the day to non-members, $25 for horse rental fee (if borrowing one of our horses). This is not a clinic - Lindsey will be available to help you and your horse, and there will be 'activity stations' set up; the main focus of the day is to play with horses together with natural horsemanship, try new things, and have someone there to help you if needed.... but you can try whatever you like, and drop in when you like. Potluck lunch! Coffee, tea, plates, utensils, snacks, and water will be provided.

June 3rd, Sunday, Blue Star Farm Schooling Show: LFEquestrian will be headed to the show ring. If you are interested in being a part of the show team for hunters or jumpers please contact us. Blue Star Farm offers a fantastic show facility with multiple competition rings. You can compete in flat classes or jumping! You can show with your own horse, or with one of our horses. Lessons to prepare for the show are required. Trailering to the show can be arranged with LFEquestrian. Coaching at the show is provided by Lindsey. Contact us for more info!
June 16, Saturday, The Everything Equine Trade Show: Hosted at Elgin Park in Uxbridge, this equine event draws about 400 people each year with many different vendors and shopping options. It starts at 9am and runs to about 6pm. Look for LFEquestrian and the Natural Horsemanship Association! If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please contact us!
June 30, Saturday, Get Started with Natural Horsemanship Clinic presented by the Natural Horsemanship Association: Located at LFEquestrian (531 Hwy 35, Pontypool), Lindsey will lead a clinic about getting started with natural horsemanship. We'll cover the basics and make sure you have the basic cues working with your horse so you are ready to progress with natural horsemanship. This clinic is highly reccomended if you want to do other natural horsemanship clinics this year (if you don't already take lessons in natural horsemanship).

July 1, Sunday, Advancing Your Skills of Natural Horsemanship Clinic presented by the Natural Horsemanship Association:
This clinic is perfect if you want to start getting creative and having fun with your horse. Use the basic skills of natural horsemanship that you learned Saturday (or if you already can do the basics) and start having fun. Learn more ideas, patterns, activities, and learn what is best for your horse and your partnership. This is the day to really get moving with natural horsemanship and learn how to progress.

July 28, Saturday, Trail Riding with Natural Horsemanship presented by the Natural Horsemanship Association:
This is the day to practice skills that will help you with trail riding. We will spend the morning doing some ground games that will build confidence and trust with our horses (9:30am-noon). After lunch (12-1pm), we will do some riding exercises that will build your horse's confidence for trail riding (1-3pm), followed by a group trail ride (3-6pm, optional). If you or your horse are nervous about trail riding, or if you are interested about trail riding this clinic is perfect for you!
Cost is $100 for the day, or $75 to NHA members. Register for this clinic and the clinic Sunday July 29th (tomorrow) for $150 or $100 to NHA members. July 29, Sunday, Having Fun with Natural Horsemanship presented by the Natural Horsemanship Association:
This clinic is perfect for people who have started natural horsemanship and want to start doing more and really have fun with it. This day is about expanding your imagination and trying new things. We'll bring out the giant soccer ball, the tarp, and many props and toys. We'll travel around the property so you can try different things. We'll start the morning with ground games (9:30am-12:00), after lunch (12-1pm) we will spend the afternoon riding through different activities and games (1-4pm). This is the day to challenge yourself and your horse - try something new and have fun! Located at 531 Hwy 35, Pontypool. Cost is $100 for the day, or $75 to NHA members. After raving reviews from 2011 we are bringing back natural horsemanship summer camp for kids aged 7 and up!
This camp isn't like any other - campers get the change to really connect and learn about horses. This camp is way more than just riding - campers learn how to play with horses, how to get horses to trust them, and way more!

August 18, Saturday, Special Tasks Clinic presented by the Natural Horsemanship Association:
This clinic is perfect for people who want to work on specific tasks or issues. We will spend the morning (9:30-12:00) covering some tasks on the ground that can become common issues - trailer loading, giving needles, giving dewormer, saddling, mounting, sending over a tarp, putting on fly spray, and any special requests. After lunch (12-1pm), we will spend 1pm-4pm address some riding tasks that can be difficult or challenging - sideways, riding over tarps, learning bending/collection, or any other special requests. At this clinic we can solve 'issues' and try new challenging things. The day's activities will be based on the needs and wants of the participants.

August 19, Sunday, Jumping with Natural Horsemanship presented by the Natural Horsemanship Association:
Learn some exercises to help build your confidence with jumping - and your horse's! Learn some jumping exercises that you can do with your horse on the ground to improve their balance, form, confidence, and skill (9:30am - 12:00). After lunch (12:00 - 1pm), we will do some riding over jumps to practice control, balance, and position (1-4pm). This clinic is perfect for people that jump in competitions or just jump for fun. The heights of fences will be adjusted to suit the rider (suitable for beginner jumpers to more advanced).
Cost is $100 for the day, or $75 to NHA members. Register for this clinic and the clinic Saturday August 18th (yesterday) for $150 or $100 to NHA members. September 9, Sunday, Amercian Warmblood Inspection: Balius (Lindsey's colt) will be going to his first inspection!! How exciting for him to be traveling to his first inspection.
