`Flower

Registered Name: Spring Flower
Sex: Mare
Height: 13.3H
Born in 1999

Breed: Spanish Mustang
Colour: Grey/White Pinto (she looks white)
Use: Lessons, pony rides, trail riding
Best Friends: Shawna, Missy, and Shania
What's Interesting: She is naturally gaited and unbelievably smooth, and when she was younger she used to be a grey/white pinto! Now she is completely white in appearance (though technically still a grey pinto).
What she likes: Attention - she is known to knicker to people in the paddock and is always eager for attention. She will usually try to grab your lead rope when you come into the paddock – she tries to get you to choose her.

Talents: Trail riding and being very smooth to ride
What Lindsey Says: “Flower is a really special pony. She is so adorable and I love how talkative she is. She always knickers to you in the paddock and you can tell she really enjoys your attention. She is a favourite when we do pony rides because she is so pretty. I love riding her too because she is so smooth and fun to be with. If you haven’t tried gaited riding, you will find Flower a delight.”
Information: Flower is a Spanish mustang, and is naturally gaited. Spanish mustangs are very rare (http://www.southwestspanishmustangassociation.com/Index2.html). She was imported from the United States when she was very young.

Flower grew up at Pleasure Valley with her play mate and best friend Shawna. Flower had her start and Pleasure Valley with the late natural horseman Gary Convery.

Flower is naturally gaited. Naturally gaited means Flower always goes into a 'gait' not a trot. She moves her feet differently so that instead of a trot, her legs move differently creating a really smooth feeling to the rider. She also does canter and walk like the average horse, but her special ability to gait comes from her breeding.

Riddler, Spice, and Mountain Man are also breeds of horses that have the ability to gait, but they are not naturally gaited. This means that they will gait if you ask them to, but otherwise they usually pick up trot.

Flower can teach you a different style of riding, and with her super curious and playful nature you can have a lot of fun with her too!
