This is a program that helps give horses a second chance at a life by providng free natural horsemanship training to rescued horses!
Lindsey saved her first pony back in 2001 when she saved a little bay pony from going to slaughter. Lindsey spent many hours retraining the pony until she was safe and ready for a new home and owner. She turned out to be a lovely safe pony with many years left to be loved.
Lindsey has been saving horses ever since, and has partnered with Heaven Can Wait Equine Rescue to retrain some of their horses, as well as LoneStar Restaurant for fundraising events.
The program works by taking on rescued horses and providing 1-3 months free training to help them become a safer and more capable partner for a new person to adopt and love.
Any horse can be a caring and willing partner if only the handler takes the time to connect with the horse and show them that humans can be great partners! As Gary Convery believed:
There are no bad horses, only humans who don't have the desire or patience to understand them.
LFEquestrian is taking horse rescue to the next level - selecting horses that need to be saved', and then LFEquestrian retrains them with natural horsemanship so they can have a second chance in life.

Lindsey finds a horse that may that needs to be saved and requires retraining to be safely adopted by a new home. LFEquestrian literally gives the horse a second chance at life.
In 4-12 weeks LFEquestrian will turn the horse around with good nutrition and natural horsemanship! After training the horse can go be part of a new family!
If you are looking for a new horse, the horse rescue series sponsorship can be a great way to get a horse because your new horse will get professional training, and you can watch and learn for freem while the horse is in training- plus you get to give a special horse a second chance at life!
Even if you don't want to own a horse, but you want to save a horse, you can still sponsor a horse (cover the expenses of the horse being saved until the horse is adopted).
For those that are unable to sponsor a horse in full, you can still make a donation to the horse rescue series. All donations will go toward rescuing a horse and retraining the horse for a new home.
How to Be in the Program:
If you are interested in sponsoring a horse, or if you have a recently rescued horse you can apply by contacting us.
Once approved for the program, Lindsey will help you choose a horse to save (if you don't have one already). Lindsey can help you choose a horse to save from auction, or you can choose a horse from Heaven Can Wait Equine Rescue or another approved rescue facility.
LFEquestrian will spend 4-12 weeks training the horse and giving the horse proper nutrition. The sponsor is welcome to participate and watch the training. LFEquestrian will help the sponsor learn and understand the horse so that the horse and sponsor can be comfortable together. The sponsor is only responsibile for the costs of the horse's care (including board, trimming, vaccinations, etc), but there is no cost for training!
There are limited spaces for the horse rescue series. LFEquestrian will consider all applications, but not all applications can be approved.
