"Natural Horsemanship is based on mutual respect, not fear. This is a philosophy I can get behind". Paige T.
"Henry and I have been through a lot recently and, just seeing the progress [Lindsey] made with him today made me feel hopeful. And I haven't felt that about Henry for awhile" when writing about her 3 year old gelding that she nearly gave away after she'd given up hope due to his dangerous behaviour. Ann S.
"Lindsey's combined experience of hunter/jumper work and natural horsemanship was the perfect reason to bring her out to assess my young horse for his future suitability. Trying to figure out whether to sell him or keep him was a big decision for me, and my horse's potential for types of work and his trainability were key factors in that decision making that Lindsey helped me with tremendously. I was shocked when she got on my horse with only a rope halter and lead rope reins, but he was as calm as I've ever seen him. I am definitely looking forward to learning more from Lindsey in the future." Larissa V.
"Lindsey worked with my Paso, Estralita, with amazing results, and I found her to be an excellent trainer, well versed in the way of Natural Horsemanship. She takes a considerate, calm and professional approach. Her manner of teaching is positive and patient. She works to achieve the most from the partnership of both horse and rider through confidence building and problem solving". Patricia M.
"Lindsey opened the world of natural horsemanship to me. She has taught not only me, but my two little daughters more than we could imagine. She has taught me how to jump with confidence which put me in the ribbons at the cne 2009. She is the best equine coach I have ever had." Andrea D.
"Natural horsemanship means not only taking the time to connect with the horse but also emphasizing the consistency and feel from the handler. Lindsey shows everyone that she has taught, including myself, how to combine all these techniques to make incredible results! She has shown me that by connecting with the horse and learning how to do some groundwork and in saddle horsemanship that you can accomplish more with your horse then you would if you didn't take the time to involve natural horsemanship. Lindsey has a gift to work with any horse or any problem and make it so the horse and you can connect to fix the problem together. She is an amazing coach that can teach you so many things that you can do to improve your riding skills, your horsemanship, or even just your ability to connect with horses and I am very proud to call her my coach and trainer!" Kristen P.
"With every lesson, Lindsey helps me better understand what my horse is thinking and feeling. In turn, I can communicate with my mare more effectively in a way that she understands. This mutual understanding is important. I believe it's the essence of true partnership." Paige T.
"I feel very privilidged to have Lindsey as a horse friend. She is truly a lovely person and has a wonderful rapport with horses. I have just purchased my mare from Lindsey and must say that she is a true professional. Not only is she kind and gentle with her horses, she is equally patient with her students. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to
connect and develop a long time mutual relationship with a horse!" Alicia M.
"I just wanted to say thanks so much for everything so far. I feel like this is the breakthrough I have been looking for with the horses and my friends. I have never seen Buster or Bud chew and lick with a rider on them before. It was for me, like hearing your kid say its first words. I'm am thrilled to bits with the progress. Thank-you Lindsey, you are doing amazing work! Looking forward to a partnership with my horses with your help!" Linda N.
"Lindsey had been referred to me by a friend. I had read a lot of natural horsemanship books, but had a hard time actually making it work when working with my head strong gelding. Watching Lindsey work with him and seeing how well he responded gave me great confidence that he would turn around. At times it would take me an hour to tack up my gelding as he would not stand still and was very badly behaved. After working with Lindsey for just a short time, and learning how to read his body language and use natural horsemanship techniques to communicate, I can now tack up in 5 minutes. She has also helped make huge improvements with his trailering which was a big issue and I think with her continued help my horse will become that quiet, bombproof gelding that I can really trust. Whether taking lessons on the ground or in the saddle working with Lindsey I learn something new every time. For anyone wanting to learn more about communicating with their horse, who has any behaviour or communication issues to work out with their horse, or simply wants to learn more about the very interesting area of natural horsemanship, I would recommend getting in touch with Lindsey!" Brigette R.
"Thank you for showing me how to play with Dakota. I was very impressed with they way you had him working through the jump standards, and how you were getting him to read your body for the canter on the line....fun! You make it look way too easy, but I'm going to start working on this. You have given me some great tips on keeping his attention on me, and what to do when he's alarmed. As you can tell, I just love him, and want to build on our relationship on all levels." Anne W.
"I do want to thank you for everything you’ve taught me over the last year. I was nervous riding Bert in the beginning and if it wasn’t for your unique approach I’d probably have given up on him by now. He’s certainly taught me to ride less with my hands and stop pinching with my knees…and of course now I love him!" Valerie O.
"Thanks so much for yesterday. I did a lot of the things you did...She was such a good girl! Thanks again! I might have you out again in september to check our progress and get some more things to work on. From a very happy Mel and Savannah :)" Mel M.
"Hi, I just wanted to tell you, that I think what you do is amazing. Your work is truly outstanding. I thoroughly enjoy reading the horses' rescue stories, and how far they have come. Your insight is inspirational, and I feel I have learned so much just by reading these stories. I just think what you do is remarkable and astonishing! Congratulations with all of your successes!" Claire.
When speaking about borrowing Buster to use in a clinic:
"Hi Lindsey! I just wanted to say thanks for having that clinic! I really enjoyed it and learned a lot! I was out with D (my horse) yesterday and got him doing some stuff that we've never been able to master, especially haunch turns off air pressure! It was so helpful to be able to do it with Buster and improve my technique, it really helped me be more confident back home." When writing in response to some online advice:
"LINDSEY IT WORKED!!!
He's doing full circles like he's been doing them all his life!! You were right about the timing...before I was waiting until he turned his body and looked at me but today I corrected him as soon as he turned his eyes at me and it only took a time or 2 and he's doing full circles! I wish I had a video to show you. I'm so proud of us!
Thank you!!!!"Marie.
